An potter friend of mine named Robert Stickly is so crazy generous towards my wife and I that I felt I should make this for him. Robert is an experienced and successful potter with an amazing eye for Japanese-style design. It's beautiful work!

For this device, when the crank is turned, the potters wheel turns, as a leg seems to kick it into action. Both arms move up and down at various rates mimicking the care needed for this work.

I've also tried to make small, accurate reproductions of some of the traditional tools used. Going forward, this attention to detail will continue...
